I haven't been this excited in a long time after making an audio purchase! Received my unit and am blown away with the build quality, not to mention this thing could have survived any kind of shipping thrown at it. Very well packaged! I am in the process of building some speakers and will be utilizing the unit for power and crossovers. Can't wait until everything is all done! Thanks for making the process very easy from ordering to delivery to a very well executed product!
I wanted to include some pics. These custom speakers are far from perfect, but I have them bi-amped and have been tuning them with the AC650 phone app along with REW and a measurement mic and it is incredible how many imperfections I was able to fix with these old speakers. Next up, using the extra 2 channels to power some old music monitors and then getting these speakers integrated into my digital mixer for music jams!
Note the AC650 is sitting on the right leslie. The big black and blue speakers are the ones powered by the AC650 right now.
I just got my second AC650 Amplifier. It sounds great, set up is easy, being able to bi-amp old speakers and tune them is amazing. One of my AC650s will run our living room speakers as well as some kitchen speakers. The second AC650 is for testing/workshop purposes as well as running my homebuilt studio monitors in biamp mode and maybe triamp with some subs. Really excited to get these tunes up and sounding better than ever!
From a technical perspective this amplifier is amazing, instantly works with computers, bluetooth, any usb type device, Has insanely low noise, 6 Channels @50 Watts, it sounds amazing, I had previously been using a cheaper digital amp and was happy with it, but this is way better, and again the app and setup is so easy to use.
I will update this review as I learn more, but already convinced it is a great deal.
I've had it for just over 2 months and I built a three-way stereo system using SB audience and Purifi drivers. I love how you can just tune everything using the app. It is so fast I can AB anything. If I mess anything up, I can just go to one of my presets and I'm right back. I used REW to measure each drivers and tuned with the DSPamp. Highly recommend it!
I've been building speakers for the last 10 years and this amp is exactly what I was looking for. It sounds absolutly incredible. Extremely detailed and holographic sound. There is zero noise even at full volume. The app is well thought out. I am super happy all around with the quility of sound especially. The customer service is the best I have ever experienced. They actually picked up the phone and literally walked me through everything and gave me tips on the type of crossovers and settings to try with my set up. I went with the recommendation of using Linkwits and Rily 12dB/Octave and inverting one of the drivers. Wow, it sounds good. I have AC650 in black amps since Christmas of 2024 and we play this amp everyday and love it. Will defenitly get another one for the next project I have to pick out the speakers first. Anyways, keep up the good work.
