Acoustas AC650 DSP Amplifier - Deluxe Edition in White
Now with a new FIR profile. Six powered channels. AirDSP control over Wi-Fi. Engineered to get the most out of your speakers.

Active Speaker Processor. Multichannel DSP amplifier.
The AC650 gives you everything you need to build high-quality active speakers and sound systems, controlled wirelessly over Wi-Fi® from any device.
With the AirDSP App you can address one or all channels at once. A 10-channel speaker manager and 6 powered channels let you manage crossovers, set PEQs, run live tuning, and A/B test presets in real time over Wi-Fi, hearing the difference as you go.
Speaker cable
Use 12 AWG multi-stranded cable without ferrules or 14 AWG cable with ferrules for the Phoenix connectors when wiring the amplifier to your speakers.
Speaker driver selection
Choose drivers that measure close to 4 Ω DC. They are preferred and more efficient, especially if your goal is to extract the most power from the AC650 powered channels, which perform best with 4-ohm loads. You can also wire two drivers in parallel for a 4-ohm load when appropriate.
For tweeters and most midrange drivers, 4-ohm or 8-ohm options both work well. Frequency response on and off axis matters more than impedance.
For less sensitive low-frequency or mid-bass drivers, choose 4-ohm versions for improved output and efficiency.

Common questions
Is 50 W per channel enough for my build?
The AC650 is sized for active speaker builds, desktop and studio systems, and efficient drivers in normal listening rooms. For high-SPL builds or low-sensitivity woofers, use the RCA or optical line outputs to feed external amplification while keeping AirDSP control of the full chain.
Why is there no analog input?
The AC650 runs an end-to-end digital signal path. For turntables or analog preamps, run a phono preamp into a USB audio interface or optical converter, and the AC650 handles the rest.
Are Phoenix connectors a problem?
Phoenix connectors are compact, secure, and serviceable. They keep the rear panel clean while supporting multi-channel active builds. We recommend ferrules on cables up to 14 AWG, or bare wire up to 12 AWG directly into the terminal blocks.
Is this too advanced for me?
Use the AC650 like a normal amplifier on day one. When you're ready to tune, AirDSP opens crossovers, delay, parametric EQ, REW import, and FIR. Start at any depth, go deeper at your pace.
How reliable is the AirDSP app?
AirDSP ships on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. All four platforms get free updates. Support comes directly from the team in Richmond, Virginia.
What's the return policy?
30 days. If there are any issues whatsoever, the replacement is free. We'll work with you until you're fully satisfied.
