Acoustas Limited Warranty

Applies to: AC650 Amplifier, pre‑amplifiers, amp‑modules, DAC‑modules, and any Acoustas‑branded hardware
Effective date: 23 July 2025

1. Warranty Period

  • Standard hardware. Lava Lab LLC (“Acoustas”) warrants that its hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twenty‑four (24) months from the original purchase date (“Warranty Period”).

  • Wear items. Parts that are user‑replaceable or subject to normal wear, such as modular amplifier boards, have a ninety‑day (90) warranty from the purchase date.

2. Proof of Purchase and Policy Acceptance

A warranty claim requires a valid sales receipt or order confirmation. Eligibility also depends on your acceptance of the Acoustas Terms and Conditions during checkout, which Acoustas verifies in its order records. No extra paperwork is needed from you.

3. Warranty Evaluation Authority

All warranty claims are inspected and tested by Acoustas. Acoustas alone decides whether a defect is covered and what remedy applies (repair, replacement, or store credit). This decision is final.

4. What Is Covered

During the Warranty Period Acoustas will, at its option:

  1. repair the hardware with new or refurbished parts;

  2. replace the hardware with a new or refurbished unit; or

  3. if repair or replacement is not practical, issue store credit equal to the original product price (shipping, taxes, and tariffs excluded).

Repaired or replacement units carry the longer of (a) the remaining Warranty Period or (b) ninety (90) days.

5. What Is Not Covered

  • damage from user settings or misconfiguration

  • damage from software or firmware bugs

  • cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents, or broken knobs

  • accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, lightning, flood, or other external causes

  • operation outside published electrical or environmental limits

  • products with altered or removed serial numbers

  • unauthorized disassembly, internal access, tinkering, modification, or repair

  • damage to third‑party equipment (for example, loudspeakers) attached to the Product

  • normal wear of accessories and other wear items after their ninety‑day warranty

6. Shipping Costs

  • You pay shipping to Acoustas for evaluation.

  • If the claim is approved, Acoustas pays return shipping. If the claim is denied, you pay return shipping.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the remedies listed in Section 4 are your sole remedies. Acoustas is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or damage to other equipment.

8. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except for this Limited Warranty, all hardware, software, and firmware are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” with all faults. Acoustas disclaims all other express, implied, and statutory warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

9. Service Procedure

Email info@acoustas.com with your proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Our support team will issue an RMA number and shipping instructions.

10. Dispute Resolution

  1. Good‑faith negotiation. You and Acoustas will try to resolve any dispute through informal discussion for thirty (30) days after written notice.

  2. Binding arbitration. Any unresolved claim will be submitted to final arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in Richmond, Virginia, unless both sides agree on another location or a virtual hearing.

  3. Waiver of jury trial and class actions. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class, collective, or mass actions.

  4. Provisional relief. Either party may seek temporary injunctive relief in a state or federal court in Richmond, Virginia.

  5. Attorney fees. If Acoustas is the prevailing party in arbitration or litigation, you will reimburse all reasonable attorney fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
